TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Use of the services of the Dexters home and Pet sitting services will be deemed acceptance of the following terms and conditions.

2. Dexters will charge the Client for its services as quoted. A fee of 50% (plus VAT) of the total sum due is payable to Dexters home and pet sitting at the time of booking.

i. The Client is responsible for paying the remuneration on completion of the contract immediately on receipt of the invoice.

ii. The Client is also responsible for any travelling expenses calculated at 40p per mile incurred by Katherine. The Client will provide a daily float for food or enough Pet food during the period of the contract. All receipts will be provided.

3. Should Katherine or Alan be taken ill or injured or for any reason not be able to complete the contract, then they will endeavour to make alternative arrangements as soon as possible.

4. In the event of cancellations which are notified to us in writing earlier than 14 days prior to the start of the booking period, the fee will either be refunded in full or held over to be used on a subsequent booking. Cancellations made later than this will result in the fee being forfeited. Dexters have never cancelled a contract but we are required by law to tell you that if we do cancel a contract less than fourteen days prior to the start of the booking period, then you will be entitled to a refund of the proportion of the fee already paid, together with a further payment in the same amount to represent compensation for late cancellation.

5. The Client must, before handing over the Primary Responsibilities, complete the checklist with Katherine.

INSURANCE: Dexters home and pet sitting service are fully insured, and are covered for staying in your home and whilst out walking your pet.

The Client should inform DHPSS of any change or extension in booking dates to avoid inconvenience to other Clients.

Deposits unpaid by the due date can render the booking liable to cancellation without notice and without any liability on the part of DHPSS.

CONDITIONS FOR Katherine:

a) Katherine and Alan will carry out the primary responsibilities agreed with the Client and keep the house clean and tidy to a reasonable standard.

b) Katherine and Alan will not 1.)Leave the house except in an emergency for more than one hour after dark, or leave the house except in the performance of her duties, for more than three hours a day unless authorised to do so by the Client. ii) Have overnight visitors nor more than one daytime visitor at a time. Such visitors must leave the house by 11pm.

c) Katherine and Alan are not responsible for any loss or damage to a Client’s property, however caused (except as required by statute).

d) In the event of a problem or emergency arising Katherine and Alan will use their own discretion and will contact the client forthwith.

e) In the event of cancellations less than 48 hours prior to the commencement of the booking, the remaining 50% of the fee shall be payable to DHPSS.
